U15s vs Nudgee

Trewhitt try. Built from strong carries by Watson, Trewhitt followed by a customary snipe and break by Harry Bennett-Cowell. The scrum half made it to the try line only to be tackled by two covering defenders and be held up in the dead ball area. From the subsequent scrum Dame Allan's picked and drived through the impressive Trewhitt to score, an act which must place praise on the effort of all eight attacking forwards. The conversion was missed by Ben Graham
Netts try 1
Following the kick off the visitors knocked on in open play and packed down for another test at the coal face. Following suit of the international game the northern hemisphere team took the advantage at the set piece. The Allan's turned over ball from the scrum and distributed wide to Netts who came on a aggressive angle to score stepping full back in his last act before dotting the ball down. Following the previous tact the conversion was missed.
Netts try 2.
Yet again the kick off was dealt with poorly by the visiting team. The ball was left to bounce and I'anson gathered the loose ball and distributed to Netts to go 60m for try. The score was converted by Graham.
Half time -
Netts try x 3
Netts completed his hatrick minutes into the second half. Hudson's troops having had prompts to play with their heads up and to move the ball to space at half time dually delivered. Netts was the recipient of slick handling by forwards and backs a like with McDougall delivering the decisive pass to Netts. The outside centre ran through the middle of the pitch showing his true potential beating the covering defence to score. The conversion was scored by Graham.
Netts try x4 - Gurteen gathered the opponent kick off, carried hard and pulled off a customary offload through the tackle. The quick ball was put through the hands and out wide to Netts, 1 on 1 with full back he showed good understanding to chip over to gather and score. The try was converted by Graham.
Jackson try - A penalty was awarded 7m out from the try line after an offside infringement. The quick thinking hooker tapped and went to score. The conversion was missed.
Mullholland try -
The ball was retained by the pack in several carries. Khan, Leigh and Chrisp linking to keep the ball moving forward and under control. The ball was fed out to the wings and Mullholland had the privilege of quick ball in space. He subsequently out paced his opposite man and fullback for the try from 60m out.
Leigh try -
The final try of the game was scored by the ever active Joey Leigh. The score came 2 phases after a line out. The ball was carried into contact by Rory McFarland, retained and moved onto Joe Ferguson who offloaded to Saif Khan who made good yardage into the Nudgee half. The ball was recycled and Forster moved the ball quickly to Leigh who ran from 22m out to score under the posts the conversion was successful.

Linsley try -
Great run down the left hand side of the pitch with good use of hands and width leading to Eoghan Phillips drawing the man allowing Nathan Linsley to score in the corner. Missed conversion.
Todd try -
After successive carries by the forward pack and telling breaks by the backs the opposition defence was stretched to breaking point. Good passing through the hands allowed Chris Todd to score out wide. The conversion of was missed 0-10.
Linsley try x2 -
Following the restart the tactical kicking of Phillips allowed territory to be gained. Aggressive line speed in defence and counter rucking created turnover ball and Matty McDonald threw a customary dummy to find a gap and offload the scoring pass to Linsley to scores in the corner. The conversion attempt fell short 0-15.
Dame Allan's conceded yet again through their own mistakes! A terribly sliced kick out of their final quarter bounced dangerously outwide and bounced fortunately into the Nudgee wingers hands and the try was scored in the corner - 15-5.
McDonald try - Following a regroup at half time and words of encouragement by Mr Midcalf the visitors set off at a ferocious pace in the section Ms half. Matty McDonald yet again led the way with several darts and scored through a glorious pick and go from the ruck and dummied two defenders to score and unconverted try - 20-5.
McDonald try x 2.
Matty McDonald given quick clean ball by his pack has the defences life yet again with another dummy to score another try just wide of the posts. The customary missed conversion followed shortly after! 25-5
The final score of the match came from the silent assassin Tom Young. The workhorse back rower finished of a well worked team try after telling carries by Phillips,Lorraine and Burns down the middle of the pitch. The ball was moved wide to Youngs who ignored the calls of the crowd and his team to pass the ball to the pain train Malhotra for the guaranteed score. In a sheer act of ignorance he took on two defenders barreling over from 10 meters with power and sheer force. The conversion was missed leaving the final score 30-5.
